Virtual Museum
One of the primary goals of the Aventinus Minor Project is to provide more access to the project for the community surrounding the site, our partners, and the residents of Rome. This Virtual Museum shares AMP’s finds with the community and those who have a curiosity to dig deeper into the history of the site.

We uncovered many fresco pieces with partial columns, but these three are a good example of how the column would have looked intact.

These pieces are broken fragments of a larger design consisting of thin blue bands against a white background.

These pink and blue fragments are believed to be part of the decoration of what we theorize was a water feature, such as a fountain.

These pieces are the most decorative patterns found, with a yellow base and white, red, and green decoration.

This is a standalone example of a floral pattern. It shares similar colors to other patterns found, but seemingly doesn't connect to other fresco pieces.

We believe this is part of a nature scene with the brown line as a branch or stick and the green as a leaf or stem of a plant.
Mosiac, Area III, 2024
These pieces of lime and dark lime stone tesserae are believed to be part of the overlaying design of the mosaic. The lime pieces were likely used for repair.

This fully blue piece is the most numerous type of mosaic found, which we believe decorated an outdoor fountain in a garden. This is one of the largest pieces found.
